Then the Global Film Funding & Distribution Conference is the event for you! This 3 day online event will be packed with seminars, talks, panel discussions and networking. You can expect to leave the event with a huge amount of insight into how the industry works, what different paths you can take and which strategy might be best suited for your particular project.

W e’ll explain how pre-sales work from a legal perspective and what to look out for. We’ll also discuss some of the most effective strategies for approaching sales agents and locking in a pre-sale deal.

Finding Private Investors

Have you ever wondered how to find and approach private investors? And once you find one what are they actually looking for? What can you expect when you manage to book in a pitch session with an investor and how should you prepare? At what stage should you even start to look for one? We’ll cover all of this in a hyper-focused session on finding and securing private investment for film.

Government Funding & Grants

W e’ll discuss the ins and outs of applying for government funds such as the BFI and outline what type of projects are more likely to gain funding and how to maximise your chances of success. We’ll also talk about wow grants are different to other types of funding and how you can acquire and expand your connections to successfully apply and gain funding through grants.

Large-scale Crowdfunding

W e’ll speak to producers who have successfully raised money through large scale crowdfunding campaigns. We’ll explain why most filmmakers can’t raise more than 5k and how you can make sure that your campaign is successful.

T ax Credits

D o you want a 20% discount on your film’s budget? Then the UK tax credit us the way to go! In this section we’ll discuss how tax incentives work in the UK, how to apply for them and what the requirements are. We’ll also discuss international tax credits and how they work.

P R & Marketing are key for any film release and we’ll discuss how PR companies create a buzz around a new release and how you can do so too!

Acquiring distributors

Distributors can be absolutely crucial for a successful film campaign and here we’ll outline how to find them, approach them and lock in a deal while making sure that you don’t fall into one of the many traps along the way.

Guerilla marketing for film

I f you’re on a tight budget then you need creative and efficient ways to generate awareness about your film and there is no better way than through innovative Guerilla marketing campaigns. We’ll discuss campaigns that have worked in the past to inspire you to create your own.

F ilm Festival Strategy

We all know about film festivals and how to apply but how can you create a strategy to help your film get nominated for more awards? We’ll discuss all the tips and tricks that you can use!
