We’re looking for a systems administrator with a solid background in complicated Windows and Linux solutions to help us prototype next gen software capabilities for the US military.
As a Systems Administrator on our project, you’ll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies while updating and patching critical systems. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like DevSecOps pipelines, container orchestration, and distributed virtual machines. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the teamwork through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. You Have:
- Experience as a Linux or Windows system administrator
- Experience with domain controllers, thin and thick clients, and virtual environments
- Knowledge of computing infrastructures, hardware and software troubleshooting, and Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of current trends in computing techniques, including both software and hardware
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD 8570 Compliance Certification, including Security+ CE, SSCP, or GSEC
Nice If You Have:
- Experience as a VMware Horizon VDI administrator
- Experience with administering US Air Force or DoD computers
- Experience with administering air-gapped systems at multiple classification level
- Possession of excellent troubleshooting skills
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or an IT- related field
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Certified IT Professional, or Server Administrator Certification, including 2008 or newer
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
