Senior Vice President, Ocean Freight
Job Purpose and Responsibilities
Position Purpose: to develop, build out a bulk vessel shipping business unit within SCS in coordination with SCS business lines. Position will prioritize development of vessel chartering and management policies and procedures, and management of chartered vessels, the related documentation and underlying commodity transactions. In addition, the business will leverage StoneX products and services from across the platform, including but not limited to market intelligence, execution and clearing of listed and over-the-counter derivatives.
Responsibilities:
- Document Policy and Standards (30-60 days): Develop and implement relevant policies and framework to build out a global vessel chartering and trading business, including path to full vessel time chartering over 24 -36 months.
- Start Small (Day 30 – 120+): Begin via voyage charters to replace delivered purchases within INCOMM and Fats & Oil
- Initial forecast is that we will be able to save ~$450K just by cost reductions on current flows
- Document successes and improvements before moving to next step
- Expand to service and supply vessels to 3rd party trades to increase efficiency in freight, expand opportunities and drive additional revenue
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Hiring Salary Range $250,000 – $300,000
