Job Description
New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. However, subject to applicable law, employees working in roles that the Company determines require routine collaboration with external stakeholders, such as employees in health services, customer facing commercial, or research based roles, will be required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment.
Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation.
Work independently in designing and developing innovative quantitative approaches (strong focus on optimization based approaches) and enable decision making to influence key programs/projects of our Company including those for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will also be responsible to:
- Demonstrate deep understanding of customers’ or stakeholders’ needs, requirements and expectations.
- Build and share in-depth domain knowledge of research and trends in one or more sub-specialty areas of data analytics with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Design and guide development of applications, platforms and business processes to derive value through scientific analytics.
- Lead a team of data scientists in successful completion of project deliverables.
- Help train data sciences staff in use of appropriate data sciences, analytics and applications software.
- Incorporate company vision, goals and direction in strategy development; and exercises judgment in solving problems within standard procedures and practices.
- Stay abreast of current industry best practices and trends.
You will work and learn more about:

- Development in various languages including Python, R, SAS, or equivalent.
Education Minimum Requirement:
- PhD, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience, in Operations Research, Data Sciences, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Computer Sciences, or Engineering.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Able to independently design and execute complex quantitative projects by developing hypotheses and analytical strategies.
- Able to present to key business stakeholders with findings/conclusions using business terms and data visualization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to share results and conclusions to technical and non-technical audience.
- Expertise in framing, building and solving mathematical optimization and decision analytics models.
- Highly knowledgeable in use of one of more of standard technical computing software such as Python, R, SAS, CPLEX, and database querying languages.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Hands-on experience in process and supply chain modeling & simulation.
- Aware of applications, platforms and business processes relevant to scientific analytics.
- Lead fellow data scientist team members to collectively and successfully complete tasks towards project deliverables.
- Experiences in big data analytics, data mining, cloud computing, reactive programming, or Hadoop is a plus.
