Job Description
Develop, implement, and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to achieve broad based business objectives with support from category lead. Responsibilities include supplier management, contract management, and contract negotiations for first time and ongoing business. Responsible for managing $70-$100M million in packaging spend.
Work collaboratively throughout the supply chain to drive cost, quality and supply improvements through Supplier management, standardization, and negotiations for assigned commodities
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to achieve short and long-term objectives, working closely with related internal departments (i.e. R&D, Packaging, Marketing) to ensure that GSR commitments meet all internal requirements
• Support cross Brand Supplier negotiations to ensure best overall cost position for the Organization for assigned commodities. Negotiate, develop and approve contracts, agreements, supplier direction and business awards
• Develop understanding of industry best practices and technology trends and educate team members and business partners as needed
• Lead mitigation projects for Supplier and commodity, financial & industrial risks within assigned commodities
• Utilize the tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies. Work collaboratively with team members to prioritize and drive implementation
• Support the budget process across Brands for assigned commodities
• In collaboration with the innovation groups, evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and markets as dictated by business requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5 years experience
SAP or similar Supply Chain experience preferred
10-20% travel
- Must be a fact based decision maker, pragmatic, resourceful, and proactive, Must have a “can-do” and “will-do” attitude
• Experience leading projects both internally and externally. Skills to include:
o Lead projects from end to end (project charter through end deliverable(s))
o Negotiate and communicate with stakeholders
o Risk management
o Budget management
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $96,500 to $159,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
