Inventory Control Specialist I
Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist I is responsible for supporting Niagara Bottling plants and corporate teams through analyzing and summarizing asset and maintenance data enterprise-wide to provide insight and drive key decisions on our assets. An in depth knowledge of inventory, procurement, work orders, assets and warranty are required. This position also includes capital project management. This is a hands-on role which requires dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
Essential Functions
Core Strengths
- Capture the preventive maintenance procedures for all Vertical Lift Module Assets
- Prepare data analysis and provide insight on asset and maintenance historical data to support training opportunities, process improvements, replacement and upgrade decisions
- Develop and maintain dashboards in PowerBI and Smart sheet for the Inventory Control Team, in addition to working with our BI team for any Oracle Analytics Cloud dashboards and reports
- Automate team processes where possible, including data pulls or dashboard updates
- Overseeing Power Pick Global (PPG) Change Gear tickets, contractor services documentation, assist in conducting Vertical Lift Module setups with reports to relevant managers.
- Strategic Planning: Identify, research and schedule project deliverables
- Project Implementation: Maintain schedule adherence, project execution and recovery
- Analyze key data metrics throughout the project and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with peers to ensure project success (brainstorming, simulation, training)
- Develop a working knowledge of repair and maintenance activities
- Develop a working proficiency of Oracle and Power Pick Global responsibilities
- Create Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s) documents to normalize procedures
- Maintain SME (Subject Matter Expert) status of Inventory Control projects and facilitate training of super-users

- Entering inventory items into the parts catalog

- Creating/performing cycle counts

- Mastery of Oracle procurement processes including:
- Requisition/Purchase Order (PO) Creation
- PO approval
- Receiving
- PO and receipt correction
- Usage of expense categories and account codes for accurate accounting practices
- Knowledge of Oracle Warranty process including:
- Credited parts and reclamation process
- Warranty KPI
- Mastery of Power Pick Global processes including:
- Order Management/Processing and Reporting
- User, Warehouse, Location, Material, Bin Management
- Storage Picks, Puts, Returns, I-Point

Competencies
Proficiency in, but not limited to:
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills including statistics (regression modeling)
