Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Eglin AFB Site Manager and spearhead a team to provide world class customer support and technical assistance for F-35A/F135 systems, tooling, materials, and processes.
  • Lead team to ensure comprehensive reporting of customer issues/comments/criticisms in addition to F135 support activities to include aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration issues, engine download anomalies, parts consumption, and support equipment health.
  • Model collaboration excellence by working closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams) to assist unit with troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities.
  • Set the example for FSE team using self-initiative and judgment by identifying problems, conducting investigations, determining root cause, and coordinating solutions in concert with P&W, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, Partner countries, and Lockheed Martin.  As P&W Site Manager, selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating field issues with P&W Engineering, Operations Center, Logistics Program Management, and other agencies.
  • Champion the role of Field Service Engineers by leading and mentoring team members to develop FSE proficiencies in addition to the leadership skills necessary to flourish towards increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Epitomize the highest personal and company ethical values; foster an environment in keeping with Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) requirements, and lead the charge in Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE).

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required in engineering or related technical field with minimum 8 years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required. This includes supply chain management and support equipment management; or advanced degree and 5 years of the aforementioned experience. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has appropriate / related experience.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
  • Selected candidate must possess a US Govt. Secret Clearance or have ability to secure one for position requirements – Candidates whose clearance has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may also apply for consideration.
  • Must agree to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments. Domestic and International Travel.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Background in ITAR/ITC is desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
