What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil is seeking a talented and experienced broadcast studio engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual responsible for the technical setup, operation, and maintenance of our corporate broadcast studio. This role provides crucial support to the Studio Manager in executing flawless day-to-day live and recorded events. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background in live production and studio environments.
What you will do
- Collaborate closely with and provide direct technical support to the Studio Manager for all studio productions and day-to-day events.
- Execute the technical setup for various broadcast scenarios, including town halls, news hits, interviews, and pre-recorded content.
- Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and troubleshooting of all AV equipment, including cameras, switchers, mixers, microphones, lighting fixtures, displays, and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently during live productions and recording sessions.
- Maintain an organized inventory of AV equipment and consumables.
- Assist in the design and implementation of AV system upgrades and new installations.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience operating Blackmagic ATEM series video switchers in a live production environment.
- Proficiency with Allen & Heath digital audio mixers and a strong understanding of live sound principles (mic techniques, gain structure, EQ, dynamics).
- Knowledge of live streaming protocols (RTMP, SRT) and encoding technologies and services like VYVX and LTN.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in a broadcast, production house, or corporate studio environment.
- Exceptionally well-organized with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Proven ability to work systematically and maintain an orderly studio environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively as part of a team and supporting diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
- A commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in a broadcast, production house, or corporate studio environment.
