Qualifications

Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent

• Required Experience:3+ years of office experience
• Experience providing a high level of customer service
• 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor’s degree)
• Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word      processing, spreadsheet and database applications
• Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding
• Good proofreading and writing skills
• Knowledge of desktop publishing software
Responsibilities
• Perform a wide range of clerical and general office duties including those of a confidential nature
• Assist with coordinating team travel for varsity, and club sports
• Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department’s activities, policies and programs
• Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems
• Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information
• Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets
• Monitor complex travel budgets
• Resolve routine and non-routine problems, and consult with supervisors or others, as needed, on more complex issues
• Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions
• Prepare, calculate and produce travel estimates/advances for teams based on approved travel schedules and contracts
• Ensure the accuracy and timely updating of the athletics portal for all coaches on travel related components
Benefits
• In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $32.800
• This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items
