Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote Opportunities Available)
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
o Work on both front-end and back-end development, utilizing Java, React, and Python to create seamless and efficient user experiences.
- Code Design and Implementation:
o Design, code, test, and debug software applications according to project specifications.
o Implement best practices in software development to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of technical solutions.
o Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any challenges.
- Problem Solving:
o Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
o Analyze and implement solutions to optimize software performance and functionality.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 10 years’ experience as a technical expert in a Java and AWS environment.
- At least 7 years’ experience designing and developing microservices using Java/Spring Boot
- Proficient developer experience in frameworks like React
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React.
- At least 5 years’ experience developing and deploying AWS cloud technologies to include: EKS, ECS, Lambda, Event bridge, Elastic Beanstalk and DynamoDB
- Ideal candidate will have obtained “AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate” certificate.
- Good handle on data persistence technologies and optimization (both SQL and NoSQL)
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins automation
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 2/28/24.
The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 – $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
