About this Role:
We are looking for a talented Developer with a strong background in DevOps Cloud technologies and Telecom domain experience particularly with exposure to Billing and Payments applications Royality calculation or cable TV & domain. As a Developer you will play a critical role in designing developing and maintaining robust and scalable Billing and Payments applications for the telecommunications industry. Your expertise in DevOps Cloud and Telecom domain will be instrumental in building and managing our applications on cloud infrastructure ensuring seamless deployment and efficient operations of OSS/BSS applications.
Requirements:
- 10 – 12 years of experience in customer facing roles/ responsibility.
- Telecom domain experience particularly with exposure to Billing and Payments System applications Royality calculation or cable TV & domain.
- Proficiency in AWS based data lake implementation using HADOOP Spark and or similar technology.
- Support /issues/defect management.
- Proficiency Scripting Languages (Shell Scripting Perl).
- Good knowledge of Integration technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Designing coding and debugging using scripting languages for the telecommunications domain following industry best practices and standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including telecom domain experts to gather and analyses requirements translating them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Developing and maintaining software documentation including design documents user guides and test plans with a specific focus Billing Payments Applications.
- Implementing DevOps practices to automate build deployment and testing processes for telecom applications.
- Configuring and managing cloud infrastructure for telecom applications including provisioning resources monitoring performance and ensuring high availability of Billing and Payments.
- Collaborating with the operations team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues specific to telecom applications.
- Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members on telecom-specific development practices.
Must Have Skills:
- Java.
- Core Java.
- AWS Cloud Knowledge.

- ANSI SQL.
- JDBC.
- HADOOP Spark.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $83,000.00 – $133,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
