Elavon, Inc. is seeking the position of Data Analyst—Business Intelligence in Minneapolis, MN
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for working on big data/analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, perform analysis, interpret results and develop actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. Acquire data from multiple data sources in order to perform analysis. Develop prediction and forecasting models. Explore data mining methods to uncover patterns and explore business growth opportunities. Utilize SQL to build queries and automate processes. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data in order to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action. Interpret data and analyze results using various statistical techniques and tools. Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations so they activate upon them and make data driven decisions. Articulate how data and analysis related to KPIs. Collaborate with various partners to provide a holistic view of the analysis. Measure and monitor results of applied recommendations and present adjustments. Develop datasets specific for reporting infrastructure to support data visualization and analytics. Utilize the following tools and technologies: SQL, Python, R.
Basic Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or closely related field.
Required Skills/Experience:
The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in a data/financial analytics position or closely related occupation in the payment industry. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) developing and maintaining statistical models for business analysis; (b) developing datasets specific for reporting infrastructure to support data visualization and analytics; (c) identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data in order to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action; and (d) utilizing the following tools and technologies: SQL, Python, R. Telecommuting available anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. All experience may be gained concurrently. Pay range: $79,851 – $128,600.00
