The fixed facility EHS coordinator is responsible for leading EHS across primarily our Amarillo, TX and Olive Branch, MS fixed facility locations within the GE Onshore Wind (ONW) Parts organization. The position is based out of Amarillo, TX with a 50% travel expectation between the two primary locations referenced.
The individual will lead the implementation of site-specific EHS programs and processes consistent with our EHS Life Saving Principles and EHS framework, therefore solid knowledge of critical EHS programs such as EHS training, emergency preparedness, risk assessment, high risk operations and environmental management will be key to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Role Summary/Purpose
The fixed facility EHS coordinator is responsible for leading EHS across primarily our Amarillo, TX and Olive Branch, MS fixed facility locations within the GE Onshore Wind (ONW) Parts organization. The position is based out of Amarillo, TX with a 50% travel expectation between the two primary locations referenced.
The individual will lead the implementation of site-specific EHS programs and processes consistent with our EHS Life Saving Principles and EHS framework expectations, including EHS training, emergency preparedness, risk assessment, high risk operations and environmental management to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the EHS program for Amarillo and Olive branch fixed facilities, supporting other Parts business locations as requested.
- Provide relevant EHS technical expertise and training relevant to the scope of the role.
- Oversee and ensure that all Onshore Wind properties (e.g., office, warehouse, manufacturing locations, etc.) are implementing and executing to expectation and standard, being able to develop countermeasures when deviation is identified.
- Lead efforts to make regulatory determinations for emergent issues and remain current and/or develop necessary understanding of EHS regulations and GE EHS programs specific to assigned priorities / job scope.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college.
- EHS experience relevant to services/manufacturing environments and demonstrated achievements across EHS programs, digitized systems, industry standards.
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory programs: RCRA, Tier II, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, etc.
- Fluent English with strong communication skills (verbal and written).

- Knowledge of EHS management systems, GE EHS programs and policies.
- Understand lean and be able to apply lean principles.
- Certified Environmental or Health and Safety professional.
