The Boeing Company has an opening for a Contracts Manager to join The Boeing Global Services (BGS) team in Seattle, Washington.
This position will either lead the F/A-18 IRT/FMS Contacts team or Commercial Derivative and TAAS Programs Contract teams. The division of work will depend on the qualification of the candidate selected. There is one position. The F/A-18 IRT/FMS Contracts team supports Navy and FMS. Programs include: F/A-18 Sustainment, F/A-18 Retrofit Kits, F/A-18 Landing Gear Overhaul, F/A-18 Training Systems, F/A-18 Flight Control Surfaces, F/A-18 Repairs, and F/A-18 Boeing Cecil Field. The team is located primarily located in Hazelwood, MO.
The Commercial Derivative and TAAS Programs (P-8 Sustainment, P-8 ECPs, P-8 Repairs, and P-8 Training plus AV-8B, T45, MQ-25). This position will have employees in Puget Sound and Hazelwood.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees engaged in Contract Management Specialist activities
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Seattle, Washington.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
- 7+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
- 7+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
- 7+ years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- MBA
- 10+ years of experience working with US Government Contracts
- 10+ years of experience working in the Aerospace industry
- 10+ years of experience in Business Operations or other finance-related fields
- 10+ years of experience working with senior executive-level leaders, preparing reports with a high-level of visibility
- Experience in the deployment and administration of policies, procedures, and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
