PSS is seeking a senior investment professional to join its Private Equity team, who will support asset manager selection, due diligence and monitoring investments in buyout, growth, venture, mezzanine and distressed funds, as well as selective co-investments on behalf of the insurance general accounts. In this role, the candidate will support both internal and external asset manager relationships.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
• Lead all aspects of the investment sourcing, diligence, and execution process for primary fund investments and co-investments;
• Work with in-house Legal team on legal review and side letter negotiations for fund investments and co-investments;
• Actively monitor assigned GP relationships including serving on LP advisory committees as needed;
• Perform ongoing investment and portfolio monitoring, analysis and reporting;
• Work with operations, accounting, tax and legal departments as part of the investment due diligence and execution process;
• Conduct market, industry and strategy research and be informed about current and developing sector trends as well as support related analytical projects;
• Work with portfolio managers to optimize Prudential’s private equity portfolio.
What you’ll need:
• 8+ years of relevant investment experience; diligence and execute private equity funds and co-investments, leveraged finance/banking, credit underwriting required
• Asset manager selection and due diligence experience required
• Strong analytical and modeling skills
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management, verbal, written communication skills
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• MBA or equivalent degree and/or CFA a plus
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $220,000 to $250,000.
