Responsibilities
- Actively develop and progress qualified opportunities for AIOps working with the IBM Sales teams.
- Act as a deep technical expert in SRE/AIOps opportunities and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful.
- Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends.
- Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Support customer technical escalations, on-site health checks, best practice sharing, designing solutions, and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to identify/progress/close sales and develop customer relationships.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical sales capabilities including being technically articulate both orally and in creating written responses/documentation.
- Strong technical background and customer orientation
- Proven experience with at least one of the following: AIOps, APM, ARM, Observability
- Knowledge of containers and micro-service application architecture and networking
- Strong presentation as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand business problems, and articulate business value to different target audiences (IT Operation Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, CxO)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- In-depth Cloud Platform knowledge in one of the following: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform/Anthos, Amazon/AWS
- Applied knowledge of building and operating clusters effectively on a Kubernetes platform (preferably Red Hat OpenShift)
- Real world experience as an IT Operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Cognitive Data Engineer.
