Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates must live within 50 miles of a PulsePoint location.
The AI Principal Data Scientist Sr is responsible for developing advanced tactical plans to implement the company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) machine learning strategy to increase internal company performance, develop new products, and gain competitive advantage. This is a director-equivalent position that functions as an independent contributor without any direct reports.

• Assists with strategic initiatives to develop AI goals.
• Apply expert machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, knowledge, and experience to interact with stakeholders, identify new problems and opportunities, develop innovative propositions, contribute to intellectual property, and build and pilot innovative solutions.
• Collaborate and publish research in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journals or external conferences to make significant contributions to the AI community.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent degree and 10 or more years of experience; or any combination of education and experience in configuration management, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields strongly preferred.
• Published papers in leading ML/AI conferences (like ICML, Neurips, KDD, ICLR, NAACL, etc.), showcasing their research and expertise in the field with an emphasis on applications in Industry is strongly preferred.
• Proven track of designing, customizing, and deploying state-of-the-art ML / AI algorithms or variations to real-life industrial problems is preferred.
• Experience with ML Ops and LLMs / SLM fine-tuning is preferred.
