Your role and responsibilities
As the National Leader of Sales Associate Engineers in the Industrial vertical market, you will drive demand, enhance customer loyalty, and achieve revenue goals by working closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Contractors. You will provide strategic guidance and leadership to the Sales Associate Engineers team, oversee the execution of ELIP’s strategies to optimize the product offerings in the mechanical and electrical sectors, and lead efforts to maximize market penetration and revenue within targeted vertical market segments. Direct the national sales team in alignment with the business development team for all products and solutions in the Industrial markets, targeting Engineers and Contractors. • Manage key account relationships with multi-location large Contractors and Engineering firms, serving as the primary senior-level executive contact for all aspects of these relationships. • Develop and implement industry sales plans to achieve objectives related to sales volume, mix, growth, and other specified goals. • Collaborate closely with Regional Vice Presidents and Product Line Managers to ensure strategies align with the needs of Commercial and Industrial customers. • Provide effective direction for the training and development of team members and Manufacturers’ Representatives to ensure a sales force capable of meeting current and future objectives. • Create and execute plans for industry penetration, product campaigns, and sales promotions. • Support market analysis and growth initiatives to enhance ELIP’s market presence in the Industrial vertical markets. • Represent senior management in dealings with large contractors, engineers, end users, customers, and channel partners. Build relationships with key decision-makers and participate in senior-level sales activities as needed.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required
- MBA or Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of sales or marketing experience in an electrical manufacturing industry.
- Electrical Industry sales experience preferred.
- Management of a commercial team (direct or functional) and designing and executing a strategy through others.
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
