Sr. Associate Developer
The Sr. Associate Developer will initiate track and drive key areas of the development lifecycle for multiple projects including: environmental impacts, permitting at local, state and federal jurisdictions, interconnection procedures, site control and leasing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), resource assessment and project budgeting.
Essential Responsibilities
• Responsible for advancement of project development disciplines in both utility-scale wind and utility-scale PV solar projects located within the US.
• Specific development focus in local, state and federal permitting
• Work daily and collaboratively with key internal project contributors in project management software for multiple projects
• Act as project interface with landowners, local stakeholders and internal project teams.
• Advance project environmental diligence and drive project environmental strategy using internal and third-party resources.
• Advance project permitting at local, state and federal jurisdictional levels. Identify permit requirements and determine project permit strategy.
• Coordinate third-party contractor scope and schedules to achieve project goals.
• Work collaboratively with development team in project management software on multiple projects.
• Proactively identify project risks and opportunities by being connected and aware of local project engagement, state and federal policies, market trends and fatal flaws.
• Assist in preparation of marketing and generation of off-take and M&A proposals.
• Seek participation in industry working-groups related to policy, industry changes or new initiatives.
• Ongoing assessment of energy market conditions, trends, and opportunities across multiple political and geographic environments and markets.
REQUIRED Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree (energy or development related a plus)
• 2+ years of experience developing UTILITY SCALE WIND projects within the United States
• Familiarity with renewable energy and geospatial concepts
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
Salary, Benefits and Location
• Salary dependent on Experience and Qualifications ($120,000-$150,000)
