TEKsystems has a need for a Data Center Technician for our customer in South Denver for a 1 year+ contract opportunity.
Overview:
Will be sole person managing data center facility operations during the night shift.
Duties include walking facility; monitor alarms for issues with network, servers, wifi, hardware and escalate if needed; troubleshooting basic cable, server, hardware issues; support deliveries that arrive; move cable/reboot server if needed; manage alarms and escalate to on-call techs; any basic understanding of UPS/power generators/HVAC / facility systems would be ideal
Top Skills Details:
- 3-5+ years experience in data centers or Co-Lo’s
- Technical experience within cabling, server install/troubleshooting, hardware fix/installs, rack/stack
- Any experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, etc
- Any level of experience running cables, testing or terminating would be a plus
- Any exposure to building automation systems and interacting with HVAC, generator systems and overall facility systems.
- Must have reason around working night shift for a long term contract, such as going to school during the day, workd it before, etc
