At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment
In this role, you will directly contribute to Eng Floor Support Team.
What You’ll Do
- Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
- Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems on Sabre and Sabre 3D tools.
- Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
- Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
- Collaborates with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support in research efforts.
Who We’re Looking For
- 2 – 4 years’ experience in an Engineering Technician capacity within the Wafer Fabrication Equipment industry.
- Able to work 12 hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear)
- Consistently demonstrate ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field.
- Experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, metrology, lab operations, or related areas.
- Experience in semiconductor experience is a plus.
