This role will provide exemplary customer service by managing total absence claims in a timely and accurate fashion. 

Location: Virtual (AFTER TRAINING. TRAINING IS IN PERSON) but must be commutable to Bloomfield, CT. 

TRAINING WILL BE IN THE BLOOMFIELD OFFICE FOR A MINIMUM OF 7-12 WEEKS

ALL EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO COME INTO THE OFFICE ONCE A MONTH AFTER TRAINING. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle, review, and administer Family & Medical Leave Act standalone (as well as other leave) claims and adhere to federal and state regulatory and/or company plan requirements and established FMLA workflow procedures and evaluate against appropriate leave plans and make initial claim decisions.
  • Complete eligibility decisions during intake call, gather pertinent data when necessary, from employee or other supporting systems as well as perform leave follow-ups as required, including recertification of health condition, intermittent claim tracking, RTW confirmation, etc.
  • Update systems to accurately reflect leave status and ensure appropriate diary documentation exists.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ yrs. related experience and strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of system applications and Disability claims knowledge/working knowledge of FMLA/Disability/Leave procedures preferred

The salary range for applicants for this position is $45,450.00.
