We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Electrical/Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. This position offers hands-on experience supporting manufacturing engineering, automation, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the development and optimization of manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and testing of electrical circuits, including both analog and digital systems.
- Support PCB layout and design using industry-standard software tools.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems and components.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for designs, processes, and test results.
- Learn to program and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Support the integration of control systems with hardware and software components.
- Assist in the design, programming, and implementation of automated systems in manufacturing.
- Gain experience in programming industrial robots and semi-automated equipment.
- Learn and apply fundamental project management practices such as planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
- Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Provide hands-on support to Maintenance and Operations as needed.
Scope & Complexity:
This role supports a broad range of manufacturing and engineering functions, including:
- Bachelor’s degree required in STEM field, preferably an electromechanical, mechatronics, electronics or related field.
- Manufacturing engineering and equipment/tooling design
- Plastic Injection Molding process troubleshooting and optimization
- Process Engineering qualification, validation, and verification
- Continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s automation roadmap
