As a Supply Management Program Manager for John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will:
- Establish continuity of supply and keep the manufacturing lines running in the face of global logistics and supply chain disruption;
- Provide specialized business system support for Deere’s electronics manufacturing;
- Lead the coordination of order fulfillment responsibilities for product transfers, new program launches, material obsolescence, mid-term sales forecast and support of Deere’s business systems;
- Supervise supply management/logistics personnel to ensure Deere supply management processes and strategies are implemented to meet cost, schedule, quality and delivery goals to support operations and activities;
- Ensure supply management activities and processes are implemented to support Deere Order Fulfillment or Deere Enterprise Product Delivery (EPDP) processes depending on assignment;
- Focus on the supply management sub processes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of material, conformance to Achieving Excellence and cost-reduction goals to support operations as well as introduction of new Deere products;
- Monitor and execute inventory project plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals;
- Perform administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, resource planning, training, and development of direct reports;
- Define or plan larger projects or lead larger projects to meet Deere Unit or Division business objectives.
- Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 20% remote work allowed.
What Skills You Need
- 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Planning and Management for ruggedized electronics manufacturing
- 3 years of experience in develop Sourcing Strategies including New Parts development and Supplier Development initiatives aligned to Product Delivery Program (PDP) processes
- 5 years of experience in focus on the supply management procedures and policies and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and sub processes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of material, conformance to Achieving Excellence and cost-reduction goals to support operations
- 3 years of experience in develop and implement proprietary program Electronic Manufacture Enterprise System (EMES) for component traceability
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience.
