The Global Head of Analytics will be responsible for leading and managing a global team tasked with developing, rationalizing, and standardizing reporting practices across the organization reporting to the Head of Global Business Solutions focusing on the Operations Organization. This role will work closely with the Data Office and cross-functional teams to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmark data, and ensure data-driven decision-making across all business units. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, data integrity, reporting automation, and continuous improvement in reporting and analytics practices.
Key Accountabilities and Teams Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term analytics strategy aligned with the organization’s overall business goals including standardization and rationalization of existing practices. Ensure that analytics initiatives are prioritized and executed effectively, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Educate report stakeholders and leadership on the purpose and uses for reporting elements to drive data-driven decisions.
- Team Management: Oversee a global team of analytics professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities. Foster a high-performance culture that values collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with data quality and privacy requirements.
- Reporting Development: Develop and standardize reporting processes to ensure consistent and accurate data delivery across the organization. Create visually appealing dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- KPI Establishment: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives to measure performance and track progress. Align on other metrics’ value and use for business transparency. Work closely with business leaders to identify and prioritize key metrics that drive value and informed decision-making. Create control levels to trigger escalations and improve focus on areas that require stakeholder attention.
- Benchmarking: Conduct internal and external benchmarking analysis to identify company and industry and process best practices to identify improvement opportunities. Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, practices, and technologies in the analytics field, ensuring that the organization remains competitive.
- Data Rationalization and Standardization: Rationalize and standardize reporting to improve data quality and efficiency. Identify and eliminate redundant or inconsistent data sources, reports, and uses ensuring that data is reliable, trustworthy, and value-add.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the data office to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytics solutions that address their specific challenges.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive data-driven decision making by providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership. Help stakeholders understand the implications of data-driven decisions and make informed choices that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Technology Adoption: Evaluate and implement new analytics technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and capabilities. Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential applications, ensuring that the organization is well-positioned to leverage the latest advancements in the field. Foster a culture of data literacy, ensuring that all stakeholders understand and utilize analytics to drive business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, data management, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading global teams.
- Strong understanding of data governance, analytics technologies, and reporting systems.
- Experience in developing and managing KPIs, benchmarking, and data standardization processes.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a global organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive change.
